Individual indicted for several crimes stemming from incident at Pine Fork Park in New Kent

Groves
An individual who got into an altercation at Pine Fork Park last April now faces several charges after being indicted by a New Kent Grand Jury Monday morning in New Kent Circuit Court.
Haley Meila Groves, 26, of the 2700 block of Windsor Shades Lane, Providence Forge, was indicted on two counts of abduction, two counts of misdemeanor assault, and one count each of strangulation, robbery, assault on a law enforcement officer, malicious assault, attempted rape, felony destruction of property, misdemeanor providing a false ID to a police officer, and misdemeanor tampering with a vehicle.
Allegations stem from an Apr. 14 incident where a fight broke out at Pine Fork Park around 5 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found citizens detaining a possible suspect. The suspect, identified as Groves, was taken into custody. Indictments allege that Groves robbed the victim, stealing a ring, cell phone, and attempted to break into a Sedan. Groves is also charged with attacking an officer and assaulting Sloan and John Hollis.
In other indictments certified by the grand jury:
–Kenny Anthony Acree Sr., 46, of the 3800 block of Goodell Road, Richmond, on a single charge of DUI (third or subsequent offense). Acree was allegedly operating a motor vehicle on Eltham Road while under the influence of drugs or alcohol on July 3.
–Bradford Weldon Boseman Jr., 29, of the 30000 block of Oakdale Road, Waverly, on one count each of assault on a law enforcement officer, felony child abuse, and misdemeanor assault and battery on a family member. The incident allegedly took place on July 22.
–Natasha Marie Carter, 40, of the 100 block of Round Oak Circle, Ashley, on a solo count of embezzlement. Carter allegedly stole money while employed at the McDonald’s in Bottoms Bridge on June 1.
–Marcus Antony Christian, 29, of the 1600 block of E. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, on one count of possession of a weapon by a felon. The offense allegedly occurred on July 29.
–Larry Washington Cutler, 42, of the 3700 block of Robert Field Road, Quinton, on one charge each of strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery on a family member. The offenses allegedly took place on May 9.
–Nicholas Danforth, 35, of the 3400 block of 38th Northwest, Apt. 810, Washington D.C., on a single charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Danforth was allegedly in possession of cocaine and Fentanyl on June 23.
–Mimi Yvonne Dunkum, 49, of the 100 block of Old Route 15 Lane, Dillwyn, on one count each of DUI (third or subsequent offense), misdemeanor driving revoked, and misdemeanor having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The defendant was allegedly found behind the wheel of a vehicle at a gas station on Emmaus Church Road on June 14 and allegedly drove the vehicle to and from the location while under the influence.
–William Robert Foote, 35, of the 6300 block of Lakeway Drive, Mechanicsville, on a solo charge of delivering drugs to a prisoner. The offense allegedly took place on Aug. 9.
–Travon Terrell Gaines, 31, of the 7800 block of Upland Drive, New Kent, on two counts of felony hit and run, and one count each of misdemeanor DUI and misdemeanor reckless driving. Gaines allegedly operated a vehicle on Interstate 64 and struck a vehicle before leaving the scene.
–Shelton Matthew Hardy, 30, of the 4300 block of East Parham Road, on a single charge of possession of marijuana by a prisoner. The offense allegedly took place on May 13.
–Darius DeAndre Harris, 29, of 36 N. Union Street, Petersburg, and Torri Thomas, 28, of the 3800 block of Homeward Road, Richmond, were indicted for the same offense but in different capacities. Harris was indicted on a single count of selling or distributing a Schedule I/II drug. Harris allegedly attempted to sell methamphetamine, while Thomas was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine. The incident allegedly occurred on July 12.
–Christopher Delyle Howard, 45, of 51 Poplar Avenue, Newport News, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and misdemeanor DUI (second offense). Howard allegedly was pulled over for driving under the influence, with a subsequent search of the vehicle and/or person discovering cocaine during a May 5 traffic stop.
–Christopher S. Hughes, 31, of the 11000 block of Walnut Hollow Court, Midlothian, on one charge each of DUI (third or subsequent offense), misdemeanor driving revoked, and misdemeanor operating an uninsured vehicle. Hughes allegedly drove a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Interstate 64 on Sept. 3.
–Joshua Adam Miller, 35, of the 17000 block of New Kent Highway, Barhamsville, on a solo count of delivering drugs to a prisoner. The offense allegedly occurred on July 4.
–Joel Kofi Safo-Kantanka, 24, of the 15000 block of Pebblewood Street, Dumfries, on one count each of selling or distributing a Schedule I/II substance, selling or distributing marijuana greater than five pounds, and misdemeanor fleeing police. The offense allegedly took place on July 23.
–Jessica Nichole Ramsey, 33, of the 17000 block of New Kent Highway, on a single county of delivering drugs to a prisoner. The offense allegedly occurred on July 24.
–Brandon Michael Wise-Collins, 32, of the 800 block of Morgan Place, Front Royal, on a solo charge of grand larceny. The defendant allegedly stole property valued more than $1,000 on Apr. 7.
