Alvin Hogge

Alvin “Dennis” Hogge, 75, passed away on Feb. 1, 2022, in the loving care of his daughter at his home in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Dennis was born in New Kent County and was the second of nine children. He was a United States Marine with an honorable discharge, a Vietnam veteran, a member of the Chickahominy Indians Tribe Eastern Division in New Kent County, and a member of Tsena Commocko Baptist Church.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Kendrel Hogge and Althea Ardith Bradby; his brother, Lon Gregory Hogge; and sister, Shirly Sue Hogge.

He is survived by his two sisters, Linda Adkins (Irwin) and Joanne Howard (Sam); his brothers, Kerry Hogge, William Hogge, Norman Hogge, and David Hogge; daughters, Heather Hogge and Mandee Hogge; sons, Jeffery W. Hogge and Shawne Hogge (Eva); grandchildren, McKayla King, Christopher Hogge, Michael Hogge, McKenzie King, Anna HOgge, Jeffrey R. Hogge, Audrey Hogge, Addison Hogge, and Sierra Hogge-Dankanich; and two great-grandchildren.
