Arleen Iola Jump

Arleen Iola Jump, 73, of Walthill, Nebraska, passed away on Sept. 23, 2017.

She was born Sept. 29, 1943 to Opechancanough and Flossie (Stewart) Adkins in Charles City, Virginia. After high school, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Arleen worked as a cook at the Omaha Nation School in Macy, Nebraska, for over 34 years. She volunteered at the Walthill Senior Center, was on the board and a member of the Latter-day Saints Church. Arleen was a member of the Chickahominy Tribe in Virginia. She loved to cook, sew, and enjoyed sending greeting cards to family and friends.

Arleen is preceded in death by her parents, Opechancanough and Flossie Adkins; sister, Charlotte Adkins-Allen; and mother-in-law, Mabel Jump.

Arleen is survived by her husband, Dick Jump, whom she married on Aug. 6, 1993 in Elk Point, South Dakota. She is also survived by her sons, Pernell J. Robinson Sr. and Louis Albert Webster, both of Walthill, Nebraska; dauthers, Natalie Robinson of Macy, Nebraska, Melissa (Jeron) Henscheid of Harlan, Iowa, and Savannah Ricehill of Sioux City, Iowa; step-children, Roxanne Jump of Sioux City, Iowa, Tammy Mellick of Pender, Nebraska, and Greg Jump, of Walthill, Nebraska; brother, Alfred Adkins of Providence Forge, Virginia; sister, Gladys Adkins of Providence Forge, Virginia; brother-in-law Wm. Rennie Allen of Charles City, Virginia; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Sioux City, Iowa. Family received visitors on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.
