Barbara Ann Tate

Barbara Ann Tate, 83, of Quinton, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Apr. 29, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Barbara loved growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from New Kent County working in the cafeteria and driving school buses.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, George ‘Jack’ Tate Jr.; six children, Kathy, Dougie, Anita, Michael, Norman, and Andy; one sister, Mary; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a special caregiver, Kathy Wynn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 4, 1 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Virginia. The family received friends on Wednesday, May 3, 3-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
