Caroly Crane Kurzman

Caroly Crane Kurzman, 88, of New Kent County, VA, went to her lord on Oct. 12 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Morton Kurzman; father, James William Crane; mother, Carolista Bond Crane; and sister, Mary Crane Frank.

She is survived by her sister, Jane Crane Christopher of Pearl River, Louisiana; as well as a host of nephews and nieces.
While in Richmond for genealogical research, she met her future husband, marrying in 1967 in Norfolk. The couple moved to Woodhaven Shores in the early 1970’s and lived there the rest of their lives.

Caroly is a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and in recent decaded, attended Providence United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Martha Dandridge Woman’s Club and LaSertoma, long-time volunteer with the women’s auxiliary of Quinton Volunteer Fire & EMS Company 2, and participated in a wide range and vast assortment of other community, craft, and volunteer activites in New Kent.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Providence United Methodist Church, 4001 New Kent Highway, Quinton, VA, 23141 with interment at Washington Memorial Park.
