Charles F. Carter

Charles F. Carter, 77, passed on May 29, 2022, at his home in Ellsworth, Maine, after a long illness.

Formerly of New Kent, Charles moved to Maine due to his illness.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; sons, Howard (Patty) of Ellsworth, Maine, and Wiley (Lisa) of James City; three grandchildren, Michael Ellis, Brandie Brown, and Ryan Carter; sisters, Vivian Bland of North Carolinaa, Evelyn Brock of Virginia Beach, and Margaret LeRoche of Suffolk; brothers, Albert Carter (Janet) of North Carolina, and Robert Carter (Sandra) of Poquoson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

A memorial service will be held in New Kent at a later date.
