Curtis E. Wynn

Curtis E. Wynn, 78, departed this earth on February 6, 2016. He was born on March 12, 1937.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Geraldine Holman Wynn; his parents, Curtis J. and Delia Canaday Wynn, Graham and Maggie Bradby Adkins; brothers, Leonard Adkins, Esswood, Reinwood, Weswood (Chuck), and James Wynn; sisters, Mabel Holmes, Mattie Adkins, Olive Heloisky, and Ora Houston.

He is survived by brother, Windell Wynn of Virginia; daughter, Leah Ann Wynn; son, Greg Wynn; grandson, Riley Wynn of Edmond, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Curtis retired after 30 years of service from the Indian Health Service as Chief of Laboratory and Imaging Services. He was a 20-year veteran of the Army Reserves.

Curtis’ greatest delights were his grandson Riley and his family. He relished in family and tribal gatherings. He loved the Lord and was a long time member of Edmond Road Baptist Church

A viewing was held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, at Edmond Road Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chickahominy Tribe of Virginia, 8200 Lott Cary Road, Providence Forge, Virginia, 23140, would be appreciated.
