Diane Bowles Fitzgerald

Diane Bowles Fitzgerald, 72, of New Kent, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Apr. 13, 2023.

She was lovingly known as “Mowie” to her grandchildren, as well as many family and friends. Diane’s favorite place was the beach, especially in the morning, to enjoy the sunlight glistening on the water. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren and never missed any of their special events. She had a gift to make everyone feel welcome and was able to make anyone laugh.

Diane is survived by her daughters, Shannon Garret (Mike) and Jessica Evelyn (Patrick); six grandchildren, Kaylee, Abbey, Camden, Laney, Turner, and Trent; her brother, Steve Bowles; and nephews, Danny, Kevin, and Brian.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Apr. 21, 3 p.m., at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Virginia 23140. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. for visitation prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the hospice team at VCU Health at home by Bayada, as well as family and friends for all the support they have received.
