Gregory Vann Adams

Gregory “Greg” Vann Adams of Charles City, Virginia, born on Sept. 21, 1961, was called home to the Lord on Sept. 11, 2019. Fittingly, he left this world on a day of remembrance as an Air Force Veteran!

Greg worked 16 years for Henrico County at both the General Services and Public Utilities Pumping Divisions as an Electronic Controls Technician, and lastly as a Senior Master Electrician.

He humbly served others above self in many ways, namely for the Providence Forge Ruritan Club, Westover Church, Dinwiddie Youth League, Langley Basketball Association, and as a volunteer with the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to name a few.

Greg was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janice Kathryn Sale-Adams-Anthony; his adopted father, Berry Levis Adams; and his stepfather, Frank Anthony.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri Adams; daughter, Kathryn Marie Henke (Damien); his future grandchild whom Greg will watch over; maternal uncles Raymond Sale (Kathy) and Allan Sale (Linda); father, Jack Norman Long (Shirley); sister, Karen Long (Derrick); his only niece, Eden; brother, Scot Long (Tara); as well as many dear cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2-6 p.m. at his residence, 11201 Greenyard Estates Way, Providence Forge, VA 23140.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, Richmond, VA. Interment will be private.
