Grosjean Graves Crump Jr.

Grosjean Graves Crump Jr. (Dusty), 90, departed his life after leading and rich and rewarding life on August 27, 2018.

Dusty was born on June 1, 1928, in Washington D.C. He was raised in New Kent County where he knew no stranger. Dusty was a trustee of New Kent Chapel for 50 years, a member of New Kent County’s School Board for 24 years, and a Mason for 50 years at Mann Page Lodge #357 AF & AM.

Dusty was in the Air Force, serving in the Berlin Airlift during World War II. He was in charge of hangers at Langley Air Force Base for 33 years where his crew built the famous F15. Dusty was always the first to help his neighbors in need.

Dusty is survived by his wife, Nellie Boyd Crump; three children, G.G. Crump III, Catherine Hart (Garrett), and Pamela Radwani (Kent); two brothers, Thomas Aldon Crump (Ruth) and John Robert ‘Bobby’ Wilson (Sherry); and a sister, Inez Crump Mihalcoe. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Brandon Paige, Nathaniel Boyd, Sunnie Dae, Ashley Aldon, Jonathan Lee, Chase Alexander, and Taylor Winfree; and six great-grandchildren.

A one-hour visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 10 a.m. and followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. at New Kent Chapel Memorial Church, 13100 Cooks Mill Road, Lanexa, VA 23089.
