Ian Randolph Merritt

Ian Randolph Merritt, who was born on July 30, 1976, in Richmond, Virginia, was taken away too soon from us on May 4, 2023, in a car accident on Courthouse Road in New Kent.

Ian was a kind and enthusiastic person, a lover of music and food (especially mushrooms), and a helper to any person in need. His friendships were deep and abiding, and his smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew him.

Ian is survived by his father, Wyndell Merritt M.D., of New Kent, Virginia; his mother, Jeri Merritt, of Gainesville, Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, Hunter and Lori Merritt, of Sacramento, California; multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins in grief and sorrow of his passing.
