James Alan Joyce Jr.

James Alan Joyce Jr., 37, of New Kent, Virginia, passed away on May 6, 2017.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Joyce; father, James A. Joyce Sr.; daughter, Maggie Oakes; son, Jacy Babcock; sisters, Gina Diller (Billy) and her children, Holly Martin (Lance) and her children; brother, Tracy Love; and many other nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Mary Oakes.

He was an amazing son and brother. All that loved and knew him will miss him dearly. Alan had a heart of gold and was always willing to help everyone.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, 7 p.m. at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Family received friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
