Jean-Claude Bergerard

Jean-Claude Bergerard, 64, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 20, in Quinton, Va.

Born in Orléans, France, he moved to the United States in 1999 where he married his wife, Susan Theimer Thomas Bergerard. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be remembered for his incredible devotion to those he loved, his sense of humor, and his passion for living “the American Dream.”

He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Delphine Aubry Bergerard (Thierry) and Cyril Sébastien Bergerard; stepchildren, Roy Everette Thomas III (Colleen) and Jessica Thomas Morris (Ian); and nine grandchildren: Alexiane, Simon, Natalie, Maëlie, Caitlin, Ryland, Elise, Logan, and Emilie.

The family received friends on Friday, June 5, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va., with a memorial service immediately following.
