Jeffrey Dupree Cotman

Jeffrey Dupree Cotman transitioned from this earthly tabernacle to his heavenly home on Feb. 11, 2019.

He was born on July 21, 1977. He was surrounded by his family and his two favorite dogs, Lady Chole and Teddy, at the time of his passing.

Jeffrey loved to cook and he was lovingly called “Chef Jeff.” Jeffrey also had a passion for technology, loved to travel, root for his favorite NFL team the Washington Redksins, and play golf. He was a member of Little Elam Baptist Church where he was discipled. He believed deeply in Jesus’ saying, “You are my disciple if you love one another (John 13:35).”

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert Walker and Rosa Estelle Brown.

Jeffrey will be remembered dearly by his parents, David and Cathy Brown; brother, Jeremiah; two sisters, Jackie and Jasmine; and his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Hilda Cotman. He also leaves to cherish his memory his devoted second mother, Crystal Wells; loving aunts, Jewel Wells and Angela Cotman; and uncle, Stanly Cotman; along with many cousins, other family members, and cherished friends are saddened by his passing.

For those who are mourning his death, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalms 30:5).
