Jerry W. Snowa

Jerry W. Snowa, a Vietnam-era Army Veteran, born on June 15, 1950, went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2021, after a long fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Jerry was a pipefitter with the Local 10 Union. He was a life-long member of the Moose Lodge and an avid golfer. Jerry loved spending time with family the friends the most, always skeeping others laughing with stories and antics. A life-long dream was to retire to Myrtle Beach and thankfully, this is where he spent his last 11 years before returning home at the end of his illness.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Joy Snowa; his brother and sister-in-law, Freddy and Peggy Snowa; and sister, Brenda (Jon) Holloway; as well as his beloved dogs, Queenie and Princess.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Glenda Snowa; his children, Tammy (Mac) Tyree, Lisa SNowa, Harold (Marianna) Hicks, and Tina (David) Pollard; grandchildren, Cameron Tyree, Holden Shuping, Avery Snowa, Katie (Ryland) Adams, Ridge (Tatiana) Mikelaites, Alyxandria (Kyle) Mikelaites-Murphy, and Tyler (Katherine) Mikelaites; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Dixie, and Waylon Adams, Zane Christian, Jones Mikelaites, Isaac Murphy, and Laurel-Grace Mikelaites; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly; and his beloved dog, King.

A memorial and reception will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, 10:30 a.m., at Shalom Baptist Church, 8116 Walnut Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shalom Baptist Church at the aforementioned address or to New Kent County Rescue, 5251 New Kent Highway, Quinton, VA 23141.
