John W. Johnson Jr.

John W. “Snook” Johnson Jr., departed this earth on July 1, 2021.

Snook drove a truck for 52 years. He was a long time member of the Tater Run Hunt Club. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as take trips to the casino. Snook was a very giving man who would help anyone who needed it.

Snook was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Johnson; father, John W. Johnson Sr.; brother, Ronnie Johnson; and sister, Rose Marie Mabry.

He is survived by his son, Jason Johnson; grandson, Shaquan Johnson; brothers, Roy Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Ricky Craddock; brother-in-law, Ronnie Mabry; devoted friends, April Wooten (Rickie), Roxanne Jones (Larry), and Melissa Johnson (Charles); as well as a great number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Snook’s name to the American Heart Association.
