Joshua Richard Perry

Joshua Richard Perry, 16, passed away September 13, 2015. He will always be remembered as a charismatic guy with sparkling green eyes and an infectious smile, who was ambitious, compassionate, and fiercely protective of his mom and sister, Lexi. Although Josh’s life was cut short, he lived it fully and without fear. Life with him was always spontaneous and full of surprises.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Wayne Perry, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Alicia Perry & father, Lacy Buie; his sisters, Alexis Danielle Buie and Ashley Buie Reissener. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Georgette Sturtz Perry, and maternal great-grandmother, Martha Sturtz West (Art). He is also survived by his aunt, Catherine Perry Bashlor; uncle, Ronald Wayne Perry, Jr.; great-uncle, Richard Sturtz, Jr., with whom he had a very special bond; several cousins, including Veronica Haven Wilson, whom he was especially close to; and countless friends.

The family received friends on Thursday, Sept. 17, 12-2 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA, with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. the same evening. Tributes may be posted at www.vincentfh.com.
