Nancy Lee Bailey Wilder

Nancy Lee Bailey Wilder, 79, of Toano, beloved daughter, wife, grandmother, and friend, departed this life on Aug 16, 2021.

Nancy was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Robert and Myrtle Bailey. She enjoyed her family, crafts, games, and watching sports. She was a retired employee of Williamsburg-James City County school system and a dedicated member of Providence Forge Presbyterian Church.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Bailey Jr.; and a grandson, Griffin Wilder Clark.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas “Chip” V. Wilder Jr.; a son, Thomas V. Wilder III (Laura) of North Carolina; and daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Wilder Clark (Kenny) of Chester. She was Grannie to six grandchildren (in addition to Griffin) to Taylor Clark (Brittney), Adam Wilder (Katie Brents), Hannah Wilder, Miah Wilder (Anthony Gragnono), Jonah Wilder, and Luke Wilder; and four great-grandchildren, John, Camryn, Landry, and Arlo.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, 12 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, Providence Forge, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
