Robert W. Bowers Jr,. “Bill”, 87, of West Point, passed away on August 25, 2014. Bill was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on September 30, 1926. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He retired from the Virginia Air National Guard with over 30 years service. In earlier years, Bill was an avid boater and firearms enthusiast. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing.
