Paulette Tharrington Perkinson

Paulette Tharrington Perkinson, of Lanexa, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday on April 9, 2023.

Paulette retired from Colonial Williamsburg where she worked as a seamstress from 1986-1999 and started her second career, working from Verizon from 2000-2017 as a facility administrator before retiring.

Paulette loved her family and friends. She was noted for her famous Pumpkin Roll, potato salad, and cookies she made every holiday. She was busy much of her time embroidering baby blankets that she lovingly made and gifted to new mothers.

Paulette was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Wayne Tharrington; brother, James Edwin Perkinson; and parents, James Edward Perkinson and Esther Reamey Perkinson.

She is survived by her son, Allen Tharrington (Marion); daughter, Jeannie Gothreau (JJ); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Dale, Paula, Joshua, and Cherie’, Tristen and Eden Gothreau; and a host of other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Sentara Hospice, and the Hospice House of Williamsburg, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, 11 a.m. at Jerusalem United Methodist Church, 850 Paschall Station Road, Warrenton, North Carolina 27589.
