Robert Walls Jr.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Grant Walls Jr., who passed away on July 14, 2025.
Bob was born on Apr. 20, 1944, in Hillsville, Virginia, to Robert and Virginia Walls. He was a devoted husband to Jenella for 24 years, and a loving father to Dawn and her husband Cort.
Bob graduated from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia, with a degree in Chemistry. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and attended Officer Candidate School, ending his Army career as a Captain. He retired from Honeywell in Hopewell, Virginia.
Bob was a devoted member and deacon at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charles City, Virginia. He was a 51-year member of the Mann Page Masonic Lodge #157 in Providence Forge, Virginia.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jenella; his daughter, Dawn and husband Cort; sister, Jennifer and her husband, Bill Ireson; grandchildren, Tristin Rash and Megan Mayo; great-grandchildren, Weston Rash, Kane Mayo, and Jeffery Hilliard III; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, 11 a.m., at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 19300 The Glebe Lane, Charles City, Virginia, 23030. A visitation was held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, 5-8 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Virginia, 23140. Interment will be private.
