Victor Warren Adkins

Victor Warren Adkins, “Dr. Rock”, 59, of Charles City, Va., left us suddenly on Oct. 7, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Warren Adkins, and daughter, Kimberly Shifflett Jones.

He is survived by his wife Ane M. Adkins; two daughters, Jamie Allen (Terrell) and Kathy Baldwin (Harlan); a son, Tommy Carter (Susan); his mother, Bertha R. Adkins; a sister, Wendy Adkins (Wilbur); and three brothers, Eric Adkins (Laverne), Perry Adkins (Kelly), and Preston Adkins (Lynn).

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Thelma Mitterer; four sisters-in-laws, three brothers-in-laws, ten grandchildren; Randy, Lucas, Daniel, Melvin Jr., Brayden, Austin, Brittany, Joey, Kelsey, and Dakota; three great-grandchildren, and devoted friends Jody Adkins and Lawrence Holmes. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Victor was employed with Smurfit Stone for 14 years before his present employment with Lumber Liquidators. He was a big racing fan and enjoyed watching Duck Dyasty. Everywhere he went he made a friend.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2 p.m. at Samaria Baptist Church, 8130 Lott Cary Road, Charles City.
