Tailgating rail spaces for Dogwood Classic now on sale

Tailgating rail spaces for the inaugural running of the Dogwood Classic races at Colonial Downs are now on sale at a discount price through Jan. 31.

The Dogwood Classic, an afternoon of steeplechase races and tailgating, is Saturday, April 6 over the Secretariat Turf Course. Tailgating will take place around the entire 1¼ mile outer track.

Reserved vehicle tailgating spots in three different price levels will be available at an early bird 25 percent discount now through Jan. 31. Each spot is 15-feet wide, 25-feet deep and located along the track’s inner rail. The price also includes admission for all passengers. A 25 percent discount will also be offered in the general admission tailgating area located in the first turn area outside of the dirt track.

Others wishing to join a tailgate must purchase a vehicle pass, which gets entry into Colonial Downs’ main parking lot and into the races. Vehicle passes are on sale at the reduced rate of $100.
