New Kent wins Conference 25 golf championship

New Kent’s golf team, led by Parker Wallace’s 78, carded a foursome score of 327 to capture today’s (Monday) Conference 25 tournament championship played at the par 72 Royal New Kent golf course.

The Trojans finished seven strokes ahead of runner-up Southampton’s 334. Both teams now advance to the Oct. 6 3A East Region Tournament.

Austin Pierce fired an 80 while Jackson Grey and Cole Hitchcock shot 84 and 85, respectively, to complete New Kent’s scoring. Cole Baldwin finished with an 88 while Bryce Paige tallied 96.
