Allen named to Mountain East Conference 1st team

Karley Allen, a sophomore at the University of Virginia-Wise, and 2013 graduate of New Kent High School, has been named as a member of the 1st Team all-Mountain East Conference in volleyball for the 2014 season.

Allen led the conference in kills (394) and finished seventh in the league in digs per set averaging 3.71. Her efforts helped the Cavaliers to a .500 record for the first time since 2007. Her 394 kills are the third most in school history. Allen also registered 15 double-doubles in the season, including a 23 kill-22 dig performance at the University of Charleston.

Allen is currently on pace to become to first Cavalier to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.
