Tabb edges New Kent 5-4 in boys tennis

New Kent players won two singles and two doubles matches, but the effort fell just short as Tabb’s visiting Tigers pulled out a 5-4 win Wednesday in boys tennis.

Singles: Qing (T) d. Ashford 6-0, 6-0; Borowy (T) d. Edmonds 6-0, 6-0; Luen (T) d. Frizzell 7-5, 3-6, 10-6; Droos (T) d. Squares 6-0, 6-2; Sharpe (NK) d. Wyman 2-6, 6-1, 7-0; Estis (NK) d. Huans 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles: Qing/Borowy (T) d. Edmonds/Ashford 8-0; Frizzell/Squares (NK) d. Droos/Luen 9-7; Sorenson/Homan (NK) d. Wyman/Huans 9-7.
