New Kent’s Jones signs with JMU

New Kent senior Julianna Jones signs a letter of intent to continue her swimming career on the collegiate level next year at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Looking on during Wednesday's ceremony at the high school are her parents, Lisa and Craig Jones. Julianna won state titles in the 200-meter freestyle during her freshman and sophomore years. Currently, she is the defending state champ in the 100-meter freestyle. She is seeking to defend her 100-meter title during her senior season and reclaim the 200-meter crown after finishing second a year ago. She will also be participating in relays. Moving on to JMU, she plans to major in either hospital administration or nursing.
