Trojans win Conference 25 wrestling, host region tourney Friday, Saturday

New Kent's wrestling team won the 2017 Conference 25 championship last weekend at Warhill. Trojans winning individual titles in their respective weight classes were Eric Taylor, Caden Darber, Bryce Henley, Brandon Bauman, Kade Sanders, and Trent Ragland. Runners-up were Gannon Jones, Shane Weimer, J.T. Taylor, Jason Godbey, and Buddy Whitecotten. New Kent hosts the 3A East Region Tournament which will be held Friday, Feb. 10 (2 p.m. start) and Saturday, Feb. 11 (10 a.m. start).
