Trojan tennis team edges Rappahannock

New Kent’s Trojan tennis team won four of six singles matches and tacked on a doubles win to top host Rappahannock 5-4 in a Tuesday matchup.

Singles: Micheal Sorensen (NK) d. Rock 2-0; Tate Estes (NK) d. Donovan 1-1 (10-8); Gutmann (R) d. Joshua Gilbert 2-0; Ben Housden (NK) d. Goszka 2-0; Hayden (R) d. Aaron White 2-0; Jackson Walker (NK) d. Lewis 2-0.

Doubles: Gilbert/Housden d. Rock/Goszka 8-1; Donovan/Gutmann d. Estes/Walker 8-3; Hayden/Lewis d. White/Cole Beach 8-5.

Exhibition: Nathan Albertson (NK) d. Hall 8-4; Andy Miller (NK) d. Jacoby 8-0.
