Second at showcase

New Kent High School compiled a 4-1 record at Virginia Volleyball Showcase and finished as runner-up in the White Division during the two day tournament that began on Sept. 2. The Lady Trojans earned wins of South Lakes, Cosby, James River (Midlothian) and King George High School. New Kent was edged out by Mountain View in the championship game. Lady Trojan Jada Evans was named to the all-tournament team. This was New Kent’s seventh appearance in the showcase since its inception in 1998.
