Curry siblings medal at local track meet

Two New Kent siblings excelled at the Virginia Beach Flames Invitational Track and Field meet held June 1 at New Kent High School.

Jayden Curry emerged as a double-event winner at the competition, winning the high jump with a clearance of 4’8” and the 1500-meter run in a time of 5:15 in 13-14 boys’ age group. His sister, Lauren Curry, ran a time of 6:07 in the 1500-meter run to finish third in the 11-12 year old girls’ division at the meet.
