Johnson earns Tidewater District first team hoops honors

Charles City’s Kameron Johnson was selected as a member of the boys’ basketball all Tidewater District first team.

Johnson, a junior, led the Panthers in scoring and eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier this season.

Joining Johnson as members of the second team for the Tidewater District are seniors Leonardo DesJardins-Charity, Justis Crawley, and De’rome Chretien. All-Academic team selections went to Johnson, Christian Stewart, DaShaun Bailey, and Keondre Barnes.

On the girls’ side, Alexis Williams was selected to the girls’ second team for the Tidewater District. Williams, a junior, led the Lady Panthers in scoring. She was also named to the all-academic squad as well.
