Charles City’s Williams places fourth in triple jump at Group 1A/2A state meet

Charles City’s Alexis Williams leaped to a fourth-place finish in the girls’ triple jump event at the Group 1A/2A State Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 28-29 at Roanoke College.

Williams jumped 34’7” in the event, finishing a mere inch out of the top three finish. She also competed in the girls’ long jump competition, finishing 14th in that event. Teammate Skye Bradby finished 12th in the girls’ 55-meter hurdles with a personal best of 10.56.

The Lady Panthers accumulated a total of five points, good for a 25th place at the state meet.
