Curry siblings earn trip to AAU national cross-country competition

A pair of New Kent siblings will participate in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Cross-Country Championship Meet in Tallahassee, Florida.

Jayden and Lauren Curry both qualified for the meet after placing at the state meet held in Portsmouth.

Jayden won the boys’ 14U age division by accumulating a time of 17:24. Sister Lauren earned a third-place finish in the girls’ 12U age group with a time of 13:46.

This is the third consecutive year that both siblings will participate in the national meet.
