New Kent sweeps Bay Rivers’ foes in wrestling home opener

New Kent High School’s Wrestling Trojans continued their undefeated season by defeating Tabb High School and Bruton High School in their home opener on Jan. 13.

The Trojans was able to down their Bay Rivers District foes by winning 12 of 14 matches against Tabb and swept all 14 matches against Bruton. The team now has an 8-0 record and currently is ranked the top school by the Virginia Wrestling Association across all classifications.
