The struggles for New Kent High School’s boys’ soccer team continued Tuesday night in a Bay Rivers District matchup against the Tabb Tigers.

The visitors ruined the final home game of the season for the Trojans, as Tabb posted an 8-0 shutout in the process.

Tabb got it’s first goal early on in the contest with a Ben Heckler boot to the back of the net. After New Kent’s Trevor Bendor committed a foul in the penalty box, Tiger forward Michael Hackworth scored on the subsequent penalty kick to up the score 2-0 less than five minutes in the game.

New Kent’s downfall continued as they found no answer to stop Hackworth as he posted another score. Heckler would add an assist to teammate Andrew Fiocca to add another goal on the scoreboard, with one more point providing Tabb a 5-0 advantage at the intermission break.

In the second half, Tabb added the final three goals in the contest as the game was stop via the mercy rule.

New Kent remains winless with a record of 0-10.
