Curry siblings qualify for regional Junior Olympics competition

New Kent siblings Lauren and Jayden Curry earned success at the Virginia District AAU Junior Olympics Qualifying Track and Field meet this past weekend in Henrico.

Lauren Curry won the 13U girls’ triple jump and high jump competition with marks of 28’10” and 4’8”, respectively. She also placed second in the shot put with a toss of 29’4”.

Brother Jayden Curry placed third in the 15-16U boys’ high jump competition with a clearance of 5’2”.
