Charles City teenager to participate in national rodeo competition

Charly Slaughter, a teenager from Charles City, has been named to the Virginia’s High School Rodeo Association state team.

Slaughter will participate in the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) on July 18-24 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She will be participating in pole bending, breakaway roping, team roping, and goat-tying.
