Curry places fourth at National Junior Olympics

A New Kent teenager earned a top-five finish at the National Junior Olympics track and field meet in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 4.

Lauren Curry finished fourth in the 13U girls’ high jump competition with a clearance of 4’9”.

By finishing in the top five, she earned All-American status in the event.
