New Kent’s Guitierrez finishes as state runner-up in girls’ one-meter diving competition
New Kent’s Lady Trojans accumulated 23 points in finishing 22nd at the Group 3A State Swim Championships held Feb. 18-19 at Swim RVA in Richmond.
New Kent’s Aisling Guitierrez was the top performer for the Lady Trojans. Guitierrez finished as state runner-up in the girls’ one-meter diving competition, accumulating a total of 438.25 points.
On the boys’ side, New Kent scored 22 points, earning a 23rd place finish at the Group 3A State Swim Championships.
Maggie Walker’s girls’ and boys’ swim teams won the meets, respectively.
