New Kent High School golf captures 3A Regional title

New Kent High School's golf team members pose with their championship trophy after winning the 3A regional tournament.

New Kent High School’s Golf Team captured the 3A Regional Championship on Sept. 27 with a team score of 305, winning by seven strokes over York.

The team was led by Brent Ferry (2nd-74), Dillon Mickles (3rd-74), and Kyle Diggs (5th-77). Other team members participating were Robert Edwards (80), Palmer Douglas (82), and Charlie Schwarz (97).

The team will now advance to the state golf championship on Oct. 11 at Stonehenge Golf & Country Club in Richmond.
