New Kent’s Hyndshaw, McLaughlin receive all-state recognition in volleyball

Several New Kent High School athletes were recognized with postseason accolades in recent press releases.

In girls’ volleyball, two New Kent Lady Trojans were selected to the Group 3A State Second Team. Senior Aubrey Hyndshaw was named as a player and classmate Sophie McLaughlin received recognition as the libero.

In football, Seth Bayens was named as a defensive end on the Bay Rivers District Second Team. Joining him with accolades on the second team is teammate Thomas Wilson, who received the nod as a punter.
