New Kent High School cheerleading finish second at region, eighth in state competition

New Kent High School’s Competition Cheerleading Squad completed their 2023 season by placing eighth in the Group 3A state competition. The team accumulated 185.25 points to garner the position.

The team advanced to the state championships by placing second at the Group 3A Region A competition on Oct. 28. New Kent scored 265.75 at the regional meet to earn the state berth.
