New Kent’s Lamprecht places third at Group 3A State Cross-Country Championships

New Kent High School Senior Isaac Lamprecht finished in third place as the Group 3A State Cross-Country Championships held Saturday afternoon at Green Hill Park in Salem.

Lamprecht earned the bronze medal by clocking a time of 15:21.20. Teammate Will Ashley ran a time of 17:01.40, finishing in 56th place at the meet.

On the girls’ side, Lady Trojan Madison Johnson accumulated a time of 20:07.50, good enough to finish 42nd at the competition.

All three runners competed as individuals at the meet, thus not allowing them to accumulate a team score at the state championships.
