Glen Allen squeaks by New Kent in gymnastics’ dual meet

Glen Allen’s Lady Lions squeaked by New Kent’s Lady Trojans during a Dec. 17 dual meet.

Glen Allen emerged victorious 137.6-136.2 over New Kent, dropping the Lady Trojans to 0-3 on the year.

Ryan Griffith was selected as the best all-around athlete, accumulating 35.8 points. Teammate Julia Kline finished as runner-up, scoring 34.2 points.
Griffith earned victories in the floor exercise (9.6) and vault (9.5) and placed second on the uneven bars (8.9). Kline and teammate Dylan Moore finished tied for second in the floor exercise (9.2), while Kline also finished in a four-way tie for second on the balance beam (8.6).
