New Kent’s Lady Trojans were challenged early but persevered to extend their win streak.
The Lady Trojans scored 13 unanswered runs as they defeated the Bruton Lady Panthers 13-3 in the Apr. 15 Bay Rivers District contest.
In the top of the first, Bruton’s T.K. Wynkoop drove in two runs for the guests, providing an early lead. The Lady Panthers added another run as they took a 3-0 advantage to the bottom of the frame.

Meanwhile, Lady Trojan Sierra Carter gathered her bearings on the mound. Carter compiled eight strikeouts during the contest. Meanwhile, New Kent orchestrated six more runs throughout the contest, resulting in a mercy rule victory.
