Spiak recognized as VIAAA Athletic Administrator of the Year

New Kent High School Athletic Director John Spiak has been named as the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA) Class 3 and 4 Athletic Administrator of the Year. Spiak has been at New Kent for 16 years, spending the last 12 years as the athletic director. His leadership has sparked several state champion programs, including the latest one with New Kent High School’s Baseball Team. The VIAAA Athletic Administrator Award is presented to an athletic director who demonstrates the qualities of leadership, a strong worth ethic, organizational skills, and support for coaches, student-athletes, and the community to orchestrate athletic and academic activities through Virginia High School League (VHSL) interscholastic competition.
