Golfer, age 12, cards hole-in-one

Twelve-year-old Zachary Wiant shot a hole-in-one on the sixth hole at Brookwoods Golf Course in Quinton on Aug. 31.

He accomplished the feat with a 5 hybrid while playing with his grandmother, Irene Wiant.

He is following in the footsteps of his father, Michael Wiant, who made a hole-in-one in 2005.

Zack participated in the 2006 “Hook a Kid on Golf” program sponsored by New Kent Parks and Recreation at Royal New Kent.
