New church opens in Charles City

First Simple Church is now open at 16401 Chickahominy Bluff Rd. in Charles City.
First Simple Church opened its doors in August at 16401 Chickahominy Bluff Road in Charles City County and, according to church leaders, is attempting to bring sanity to life’s challenges by delivering and teaching a simple Gospel message to a complex world.
“I am a simple man with a simple message,” said church pastor Sam Frye in a press release. “It’s not complicated to meet Christ so I keep the Gospel message clear. First Simple Church is not about gimmicks, the latest ministry craze, or diluted messages.”
Groups including military, motorcyclists, public service professionals, and families who may not find a traditional church setting comfortable feel right at home. Located at the foot of the Route 5 bridge, bikers enjoy riding to church before continuing along the scenic roads of Charles City.
All who attend, report “feeling right at home” and “I finally found my church.” The beauty of the Chickahominy River provides the perfect spot for old-fashioned river baptisms.
As the holidays approach the church invites all to hear the true message of Thanksgiving and Christmas in an uncomplicated and friendly atmosphere. Worship is Sundays, 10 a.m. with special services for each holiday. See www.firstsimplechurch.org for more information or call 829-2002.
