Cary Hill opens once again to public
Cary Hill, locacted in the historic James River plantation district of Charles City, is now open to the public.
Following in the half-century tradition of Kip Kephart, the freshly renovated and restored house (circa 1741) and grounds located at 11401 Eagles Nest Road are now available for corporate events, ceremonies and private parties.
Cary Hill reflects a succession of the owners and their love of history and art. The ballroom has been used for entertaining for almost three centuries with an iron fireplace dating back to 1741. The warming closet, from which refreshments would have been served, continues to be used for parties and gatherings today. Gracious grounds include a deep swimming pool with an expansive bluestone slate surround and pool house. In addition to the historic home and grounds, there is also a quaint (3 bedroom, 2 bath) cottage available to include in event packages for the perfect weekend retreat. Garden parties, as well as any private family or corporate function, will enjoy the peace and privacy that Cary Hill has to offer on this 60-acre estate.
